Art for Palestine

I've been meaning to post for a while but, in light of the recent attacks on Gaza, am having trouble thinking about shopping and fashion.

Watch this video, a clip from the movie Occupation 101. I teared up listening to the little girl talk about how her clothes smelled like gas. Read up on the attacks on BBC's Website.

For all the So Calians, there will be a protest today (Tuesday, December 30th) at 4:30 pm in front of the Israeli Consulate, at 6380 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles

Tell everyone you know, spread the word and show your support for the people of Gaza!

In the midst of all this terror, I wanted to share some beauty with my readers. I recently stumbled upon an artist by the name of Paula Cox, who created a series of images using Palestinian daily life as a subject. Here are some of my favorites:

"Palestinian Wedding Dance"

"Call to Prayer"

"Percussion of Falling Olives"

"Daily Bread in Bethlehem"

Pray that the people of Palestine will one day live free of terror and oppression, may Allah ease their suffering, Ameen.

Darn no Nor Cal events? I heard of a protest today at San Fran, but I have no idea where.

Insha'allah Justice will be served for those oppressed around the world, including Palestinians
