Fashion Friday: Denim on Denim

Normally, I wouldn't touch this style with a ten foot pole no matter how much it was trending. But there are some ways to pull off a trend like this without being super 90s tacky flashback. Go for a distressed/torn jeans look, and wear the shirt with the sleeved rolled, the top buttons open and a cute tee underneath. On the D&G Denim Spring 2010 runway (pictured below), they paired their all denim look with some cute retro Minnie tees. I'd stick with a heather grey or any light colored neutral. Don't match the shirt to the jeans, choose slightly different hues and finish the whole look off with some tan boots and belt. Tacky flashback who?
