As promised, here's part two of the series. Since I'm not a fan of wearing long sleeved shirts under patterned strappy dresses (looks ok in some cases, but for the most part... fobby), I like to layer a vest or sleeveless cardigan over to cover up the straps. Layering gives you an opportunity to bring out different colors in the dress, and also hides the shirt in case it's not the exact right shade (which is the case about 75% of the time).
