I've recently gotten some requests for formal wear, and i know most of us leave this till the very last minute. My advice is to look for a jacket early on (since most dresses are strapless or sleeveless) because wearing a casual cotton tee under a fancy dress is not a good look. For the most part, finding formal jackets to match a specific dress is pretty impossible (unless it's black) so I usually have mine custom made. Having a seamstress is crucial for hijabis, who do you go to?
This set I created is for last minute procrastinators, and features a super cheap (and simple) Forever 21 dress, made interesting with this sparkly H&M cardigan. Don't be afraid to add a little punch of color or sparkle with your shoes and accessories.
